The Lucknow Super Giants easily defeated the Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. On Sunday, April 7, both teams faced off in the 21st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Although Lucknow emerged victorious, there were other concerning aspects of the match.
After bowling just one over against the Gujarat Titans, star bowler Mayank Yadav got up and left the field. The young player’s pace appeared to be slowing down before he left the field, and he was even struck for three boundaries.
Yadav was not present, but all-arounder Krunal Pandya’s performance carried the Lucknow Super Giants to a decisive victory. Additionally, following the game, Krunal came forward to discuss his conversation with Mayank Yadav, saying that it was not a severe matter and that the child should be alright.
“We were relieved to hear that Krunal Pandya appeared to be in good health during our brief conversation,” ESPNcricinfo cited Pandya as saying. “I don’t know what is happening,” Pandya said.

“A promising young man, I have been observing him for the past two years. He used to bowl in the nets, but owing to an injury, he was unable to do so last year. However, he continued, “I see that he has a good head on his shoulders from every conversation I have had.”
LSG won three games this season.
In the match between the Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants, the home team batted first and amassed a total of 163 runs in the opening inning. In just 31 deliveries, KL Rahul scored 33 runs, and Marcus Stoinis added 58 more runs. To help LSG reach the total, Nicholas Pooran continued to score 32 runs without losing.
Gujarat’s attempt to defend the goal was useless because of Lucknow’s strong bowling attack. Sai Sudharshan and Shubman Gill started for the visitors, scoring 31 and 19 runs, respectively. With just one run scored after Kane Williamson left the game, Vijay Shankar added 17 runs, and Rahul Tewatia scored the most with 30. GT won the game by 33 runs thanks to the hosts’ outstanding bowling, which saw them bundle out 130 runs. Additionally, with six points from four games, LSG moved up to third place in the standings after the victory.
