Parthiv Patel, the assistant coach of the Gujarat Titans, praised Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Sai Kishore’s bowling performances thus far in the current Indian Premier League season. The three have taken 28 wickets in GT’s five games thus far, while giving up runs at a pitiful economy rate of 7.33.
The aforementioned triad was commended by the former Indian wicketkeeper-batter, who expressed happiness at their ability to work together.
“Every bowler came in and did a good job carrying out their plans when you win by about 50 runs on a track like this. Throughout the tournament, Prasidh Krishna has been outstanding, and Siraj is bowling incredibly well. Given his bowling style, bravery, and ability to bowl in challenging situations, Sai Kishore is arguably the finest spinner in the league thus far. It’s encouraging to see a fresh bowler step up after each match.
“Batters obviously set it up, but bowlers actually win you games,” Parthiv Patel told the media.
In their first five IPL 2025 matches, GT has won four of them. Their most recent success came on Wednesday, April 9 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where they defeated the Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs. Sai Sudharsan’s spectacular 82-run knock set the stage for the victory. It was supported by the bowlers during the run-chase. In 19.2 overs, RR was ultimately bundled out for 159.
On Saturday, April 12, the Shubman Gill-led team will play the Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. After a week of rest, they will host the Delhi Capitals for their second straight afternoon match. At the moment, the Titans hold the first spot in the standings.
