The second Test match of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 between Australia and India is scheduled. The second Test between the two teams will begin on December 6 at the Adelaide Oval. It is important to remember that Australia lost badly in the opening Test match of the series. The first Test between the two teams took place in Perth, where India prevailed by 295 runs.
In the first Test match, which took place in Perth, India defeated the other team by 295 runs.
Several concerns were voiced over standout batsman Marnus Labuschagne‘s form after the first Test was concluded. Notably, Labuschagne only managed to score two runs in the first innings and three in the second, failing to score much in the two innings against India.
Nevertheless, Australia captain Pat Cummins came up and supported Labuschagne to return to his best form despite the fact that his form problems persisted. Cummins seemed unconcerned with Labuschagne’s performance and gave him the go-ahead to resume scoring runs.
“He’s hitting millions of balls during his routine exercise. You’ve probably seen that side of the argument in the nets because it’s hard to ignore or disregard some of the discussion about maybe being a little more proactive. Making sure you have that mindset when you’re out there is the challenge. But as usual, he has been excellent. “He’s constantly working on things, trying to figure out how he’s going to score his hundred this Test,” Cummins stated during the press conference before the game.
I hope you have learnt a few things: Pat Cummins
Cummins also gave a preview of the cricket match versus India in the second Test. He hoped both teams would learn some lessons from the experience and strive to improve in specific areas after having a better understanding of each other’s squads.
“I hope some things have been learnt. The good news is that we’ve looked at them and they’ve looked at us. You can see some of the bowling strategies you wish to use. The batters are also aware of the offensive strategy that will be used against them first up. I’m confident—in fact, I sincerely hope—that everyone has gained some knowledge and returned to this place a little more equipped after seeing what they’re going to hurl at us,” Cummins remarked.
