The scoreboard disappeared from Star Sports’ live telecast of the present Indian Premier League game between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals for 1.3 overs on Saturday, April 5, due to an apparent operational lapse. The fault was obvious shortly after Nehal Wadhera hit a maximum off Wanindu Hasaranga.
Several major occurrences occurred during the match, including the scorecard disappearing from millions of users’ television screens. However, there was no indication of it, which piqued social media users’ interest.

Glenn Maxwell hit two boundaries off the first two deliveries of the 15th over against Maheesh Theekshana. On the last delivery of the over, the Sri Lankan off-break bowler had the last laugh thanks to a carrom ball that could only be hit as far as long-on.
In the end, RR won by a comfortable margin of 50 runs. When PBKS reached the end of their allocated 20-over allotment, they were on 155/9.
Nehal Wadhera hit 62 runs off of 41 deliveries to take the lead. Only Glenn Maxwell was able to reach the 30-run milestone for the home team, aside from him. Jofra Archer finished his four-over session with figures of 3/25. In their 20-over quota earlier in the evening, RR scored 205/4.
After Yashasvi Jaiswal’s quick innings (67 off 45), Royan Parag scored an undefeated 43* off 25 deliveries. Additionally, captain Sanju Samson (38 off 26) and Shimron Hetmyer (20 off 12) made significant contributions. After losing their first two games in the IPL 2025, this was RR’s second victory of the year.
