Open trials for women will be held nationwide beginning on Monday, August 5, with the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) hoping to discover local potential. The inaugural women’s cricket trials in the Sost Valley will be held at PCB, one of the 14 cities.
The project will assist the PCB in identifying women’s talent in remote places. The Sost Valley is a region of Pakistan renowned for its stunning scenery and fervent cricket population.
Notably, there will be two phases to the testing: from August 5 to August 7, trials will take place in Gilgit, Hunza, and Sost. August 21 will mark the start of the second part of the same, which will end on September 3. Additionally, the trials in each city will take place between September 4 and September 5 if there is rain in that city.
Asad Shafiq and Batool Fatima, members of the women’s national selection committee, will be in charge of organising the trials across nation. In the subsequent round, participants will have the option to sign up online for the trials.
