When SRH and RCB were playing, Kevin Pietersen made a playful jab at Dinesh Karthik. The game made history by recording the most runs ever scored in a T20 match, the most runs in the IPL’s history, the most runs scored while batting second, the fourth-fastest hundred in the IPL’s history, and many other firsts.
Karthik was outstanding during the game and proved crucial to RCB’s survival. With five fours and seven sixes, the standout player scored 83 runs on 35 balls. He made many enormous sixes. Of them, the largest measured 106 metres, making it the largest six of the current season. The batter-keeper revealed his beast form.
Pietersen was raving about the experience of the right-handed batter after observing Karthik’s batting technique. The former English batsman praised Karthik and said that the 38-year-old was the best batsman he had ever seen. Kevin said in the commentary box, “I’ve never seen a commentator bat so well.”
Could Dinesh Karthik be included in the 2024 T20 World Cup team?
Dinesh played a fantastic game, but RCB lost by a score of 25 runs. However, the middle-order batter’s spectacular display left the audience indifferent to the loss. He’s been at it for some time now. The star batter for the RCB has been outstanding this season, batting well in practically every one of his innings.
In the IPL 2024, Karthik has participated in seven games thus far. With an amazing batting average of 75.33 and a crazy hitting strike rate of 205.4,5 in just six innings, the batter has scored 226 runs, including a few more than fifty. Karthik has scored two fifties in the last two innings against clubs like the Mumbai Indians and the San Jose Rampage.

Karthik has a strong argument to be included in the squad, especially because the T20 World Cup 2024 is just six months away from beginning. He possesses the most experience and striking ability of all the wicketkeeper batters in the current season.
