Preity Zinta, co-owner of the Punjab Kings, is renowned for her extensive participation in fan interactions on social media. She recently reprimanded a troll for asking a disrespectful question about Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.
The Bollywood actress responded with a strong aim when the fan disrespectfully questioned her about the batter’s performance for the Punjab Kings. While the comment may have been meant as humour, she said it was neither acceptable nor courteous, expressing her concern that such remarks represent the difficulties women experience in professional situations.
Preity Zinta urged her followers to refrain from gender bias and emphasised the value of appreciating one another.
“Are all male team owners going to be asked this question, or is this discrimination limited to women? Before I started playing cricket, I had no idea how hard it is for women to thrive in corporate environments. Although I’m sure you posed this question in jest, I sincerely hope you can read your question and realise what you’re trying to say—and if you do, it’s not pretty! Please cease the gender bias and treat me with the respect I deserve since I believe I have earned my stripes by working really hard over the past 18 years. Zinta wrote, “Thank you,” on X.
Will you ask this question to the male team owners of all teams, or is this discrimination just towards the women? I never knew how difficult it is for women to survive in corporate setups until I got into cricket. I’m sure you asked this question out of humour, but I hope you… https://t.co/cBX4SbqAwS

Cross-border hostilities have caused the IPL 2025 season to be halted for a week, but it is scheduled to resume on May 17. On May 18, Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the already-defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) will square off in Jaipur.
Midway through, the side captained by Shreyas Iyer had their previous game against the Delhi Capitals (DC) called off. May 24 is when the game will resume from the first ball. PBKS has 15 points, which puts them in third place on the IPL 2025 points table.
