Against the Rajasthan Royals (RR), the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have finally ended their losing run at home in the 2025 Indian Premier League. In an exciting Royal derby, the Men in Red won by 11 runs, their sixth victory of the season.
The Bengaluru team, who now sit third in the standings with 12 points, has had a respectably successful season thus far. Even though the Rajasthan side appeared to be dominating the game at one point, Josh Hazlewood’s superb death bowling ensured that the team made a comeback. Several celebrities attended the event, including Indian badminton player and two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, who made a light-hearted comment following the game stating that the team had finally discovered their fortunate charm. Her family and the Chinnaswamy were also included in the post.
“Brain says Orange Army, but the heart says new city, new team, Ee Saaalllaaaa Ccccuuppp Naammmaaddeee. PS: @royalchallengers.bengaluru, You found your lucky charm,” Sindhu posted on Instagram.

It’s a unique location with many memorable experiences: Virat Kohli’s
Virat discussed about the template the team needed to score a high total on the board and how important it was to fight back in the match. Kohli also talked about how the team values the location.
We talked about a few things as a batting team and worked hard enough to score a run. I’m quite excited with that. “The dew really helped in the second half. Credit to RR, they came out and played good shots, but it was really crucial to claw our way back and get those two points,” Kohli was quoted as saying.
The legendary RCB player Virat Kohli also had many positive things to say about the team’s success at home this season.
“We have been working hard to get a good score in the first few games, but today’s strategy was for one guy to bat through and the rest of the batters to go attacking, and it really paid off. The first challenge here (at this venue) is to win the toss, and in the second half, it becomes a bit of an advantage.” The supporters supported us through both good and bad times, and this location is the greatest for IPL cricket matches. It’s a unique location with many memorable experiences,” Kohli said.
