Quinton de Kock, the South African wicketkeeper, is scheduled to return to the Kolkata Knight Riders'(KKR) Bengaluru squad on Thursday, two days before their crucial matchup with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The return of de Kock had been rather questionable until Tuesday night. Since then, he has stated that he is available for the final round of the competition, which is scheduled for May 17–June 3.
It is understood that the majority of KKR’s international players, notably left-arm seamer Spencer Johnson of Australia,
Whose comeback was unclear until Tuesday, have confirmed their availability as the IPL 2025 season gets underway after being suspended for a week due to border tensions between India and Pakistan. All-rounder Moeen Ali of England is still to confirm.
The first group of international players to arrive in Bengaluru on Wednesday afternoon includes Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. Since the BCCI decided to temporarily halt the tournament, the two are thought to have been stationed in Dubai, where they took a flight to Bengaluru in the middle of the morning. They had halted their further journey to the Caribbean pending a restart.
The majority of their Indian contingent will start arriving on Wednesday night. On Thursday and Friday night, KKR will train at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in preparation for their matchup with RCB.
