The second ODI between India Women and New Zealand was played on Sunday, October 27, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The visiting captain chose to bat after winning the toss. In the powerplay, the visitors were dominating, scoring 46 runs without losing a wicket. Until Radha Yadav pushed Plimmer back, their openers Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer were poised and ready to perform.
The 16th over of the innings was bowled by Deepti Sharma, who hit Plimmer on the middle and leg with an off-cutter of good length. The right-handed batter failed to catch the majority of the bat as he attempted to flick it. As Plimmer walked back, Radha showed incredible athleticism by plucking the ball that had flown to her right, scoring 41 off 50 balls.

India’s Priya Mishra makes her debut while Harmanpreet Kaur makes a comeback
Noteworthy is the fact that India won the series’ opening game by a resounding 59 runs. Due to a quadriceps rupture, White Ferns star player Amelia Kerr was sidelined for the rest of the series, dealing them a severe blow ahead of the second ODI. In contrast, India’s skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur, returned in the second ODI after missing the first one because of a niggle. Tejal Hasabnis, an Indian spinner, made her debut in the opening match.
Additionally, India altered their playing XI in certain ways. While D Hemalatha and Renuka Singh Thakur were rested, Priya Mishra made her debut. During the 2023–24 season, Priya took 23 wickets,
