Rashid Khan hit in his opening over to get Afghanistan back into the match against Bangladesh on September 16 in Abu Dhabi.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won the toss and decided to bat first. The opening duo of Saif Hassan and Tanzid Hasan Tamim got their team off to a great start, scoring 63 runs for the first wicket with some slick stroke play.
Just as the partnership appeared to be in jeopardy, the Afghan captain entered the attack immediately following the powerplay. On only his fourth delivery, he created a classic googly that utterly duped Saif.
When Saif attempted a powerful slog, the ball went through and rocked the off stump, leaving him beaten all the way around. The Afghan talisman rejoiced with a stare as Saif made the long trek back to the pavilion, breaking a critical stand and giving Afghanistan much-needed impetus.
Rashid wastes no time as he means business in his very first over 🔥
