Rashid Khan, one of the Afghanistan team’s best players, is reportedly unable to play in the Boxing Day Tests. The Afghanistan T20I captain is away for a charity function, according to an Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) official.
“As far as I know, he (Rashid) is away for a charity event for the first test,” the official stated.
Red ball statistics and Rashid Khan’s injured comeback
Rashid Khan’s back problem has kept him from playing cricket lately, and it also prevented him from playing in the Test series against New Zealand. Although it appeared that he would not be available for this forthcoming series, the ACB ultimately announced him in the 18-man team.
Speaking of his red-ball cricket statistics, Rashid Khan has some amazing numbers despite not playing much Test or first-class cricket. In his five Test matches, he has claimed 34 wickets at an average of just 22.35. In the format, he has also claimed two 10-wicket hauls and four five-wicket hauls. Rashid can undoubtedly contribute to any format in which he appears.
