The current IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) season has been hot and cold for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), but they have had some talented players in the mix, including right-arm mystery spinner Digvesh Rathi, who has been one of their best bowlers thus far.
The 25-year-old spinner has had great success in the middle overs thanks to his precision and ability to keep the batters in check. Rathi has an outstanding economy rate of 7.27 this season and has taken nine wickets at an average of 29.11 in his nine games played.
The Delhi-born player has received a lot of praise, particularly from his partner and great leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who has talked openly about how much he enjoys bowling with him and how important his confidence is to the game.
“Bowling in tandem with him is beneficial. I’m telling you, you should have Digvesh Rathi’s trust in you if you want to play cricket. You need the confidence to be a bowler. His greatest asset, which helps him succeed here, is his confidence. He is always ready for the fight. “He’s always there when you give him the ball in the powerplay,” Bishnoi stated at the Saturday pregame press conference.
It’s an afternoon game, we think bowlers will get some help: Ravi Bishnoi
Besides, Ravi Bishnoi also talked about the conditions and how they might help the bowlers, since the game against the Mumbai Indians will be an afternoon match and could provide some assistance to the bowlers. He also mentioned that the wicket might be slightly dry at the start of the game.
“It’s an afternoon game, we think bowlers will get some help as well. It’s all a batter’s game, as you’ve seen. So, I hope that bowlers also get something in tomorrow’s afternoon game; maybe it will be a little dry or something like that,” Bishnoi concluded.
