Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja of India has enjoyed his time with the Men in Blue, having been a member of the team that took home the prestigious Champions Trophy in 2025. In addition to hitting the game-winning boundary that helped the Indian team win the prized trophy for the third time—and the second time in his career as an international cricketer—Jadeja had a game-winning spell in the final against New Zealand.
At the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, where the Chennai Super Kings are poised to win a record-breaking sixth title in the league’s history, the star all-rounder has already resumed net workouts with his IPL team. In a video that CSK posted on social media, Jadeja can be seen looking as thrilled as ever to be returning to the Chennai setup and meeting cricket superstar MS Dhoni.
Jadeja said, “Feeling very good (on being) back to home and very excited to be with the team and looking forward to meeting the one and only Thala. Thala, the boss!”

MS Dhoni having a good time in Dehradun
Meanwhile, CSK supporters affectionately refer to him as Thala, who is currently in Dehradun for the wedding of Sakshi, Rishabh Pant’s older sister. Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Singh were spotted dancing to the beats of the hit Bollywood song “Tu Jaane Naa,” which features a hit melody by Atif Aslam. Alongside colleagues Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina, he may also be seen dancing in widely shared wedding films.
Chennai, under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, will play the Mumbai Indians in their IPL 2025 season opener on Sunday, March 23. In order to assist CSK win another trophy, the Dhoni-Jadeja team will once again try to contribute their impressive experience. In his first season as captain of CSK, the team failed to make it to the playoffs, hence Gaikwad will have a difficult time making amends in 2025.
