The Indian Premier League (IPL) is down to its final two games, which will be hosted at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are the first team to reach the IPL 2025 finals, and they have begun to prepare at the site ahead of the Qualifier two match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS).
According to sources, the franchise was training in the afternoon at Motera’s B-ground, as the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) does not allowed practice in the evenings or at night. The squad arrived in Ahmedabad on May 31 after staying in Chandigarh for a day before flying to the venue. While practicing, the Men in Red will be waiting for the team that will face them in the finals, which will be determined during the qualifier 2 game.
The Punjab Kings, one of the teams competing in the Qualifier two game, arrived at the stadium on Friday evening. The team was observed conducting fielding practice and preparing for the forthcoming encounter. The Mumbai Indians (MI), on the other hand, travelled directly from Chandigarh to Ahmedabad and got into their hotel at 5 a.m. on Saturday. However, the teams will face a significant obstacle because the drizzle in the previous game caused the ground to be covered, and neither team had the opportunity to see the wicket.
Can RCB finally break their final jinx?
This will be the Bengaluru franchise’s fourth appearance in the finals, following a nine-year absence. The three finals were painful for the RCB franchise, as they finished as runners-up in 2009, 2011, and 2012. Fans and players alike will be aiming to finally claim the crown this season.
