The IPL 2025 final is just hours away, and there is a lot of excitement around Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who have advanced to their fourth IPL final this season. However, there was some concern over RCB standout starter Phil Salt’s availability for the crucial encounter.
According to sources, the 28-year-old opener returned to the RCB camp in Ahmedabad this morning. This is wonderful news for the Men in Red, as Salt is one of their top performers this season. He even got an undefeated half-century against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the first qualifier.
Notably, Salt had returned to England to be with his girlfriend, Abe Salt, during the birth of their first child. Earlier reports indicated that Salt might be unavailable for the last match, which would be a significant blow to the franchise.
Salt’s availability in the final became known today after a fan uploaded a photo of him with his brother-in-law at the Ahmedabad airport. The fan in the post claimed that Salt arrived at the airport about 3:00 a.m. and that the IPL 2024 champion will play in the final match.
“Confirmed with brother-in-law: Phil Salt landed at the airport in Ahmedabad last night around 3 AM. He is playing the IPL!” the post read.
