RCB vs CSK IPL Stats at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

In IPL 2025 Match No. 52, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host the Chennai Super Kings, who have already been eliminated. Since RCB is in a strong position to qualify for the playoffs, they will try to take advantage of this game to increase their chances.

At the moment, RCB has won three straight games while CSK has lost three straight. After a heated match against DC in Delhi, RCB emerged victorious in their most recent match. DC’s middle order was too lethargic, but Abhishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs were explosive at the beginning and conclusion, respectively. Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya held the bowlers in check, as Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed crucial wickets late in the game to limit DC to a meagre 162.

Although they had a good start, RCB eventually ran into problems. In a single over, Axar Patel defeated both Jacob Bethell and Devdutt Padikkal. Soon after Rajat Patidar was exhausted, RCB was in a precarious position at 20/3. Then, Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya joined forces to control the number of wickets and provide steadiness to the innings. Pandya found the barrier on a regular basis after the start was a touch rough and the needed rate increased. After both Pandya and Kohli reached fifty and Tim David completed the task with more over an over remaining, RCB eventually strolled home.

The last match between CSK and PBKS, played at home, was as chaotic as it could have been. With a vital 88, CSK’s No. 3 Sam Curran broke both of those conventions amid a rush of wickets and slow scoring rates. Although it appeared that CSK would have a good finish, Yuzvendra Chahal sent them reeling with four wickets, including a hat-trick, in the penultimate over.

With Priyansh Arya’s assistance, Prabhsimran Singh then attacked the bowlers. Like Singh, Shreyas Iyer, the captain of PBKS, also scored fifty to make the outcome a formality. However, PBKS lost a lot of wickets in the latter stages, which prevented them from winning till the final over.

Additionally, this fixture will be repeated. During the rematch, RCB had thoroughly defeated the Yellow Army at their home ground in Chepauk. Even though Virat Kohli was struggling, Phil Salt and Devdutt Padikkal were given important starts. Following a middle order breakdown orchestrated by Noor Ahmad, Rajat Patidar then used good fortune to reach a vital fifty. The Bengaluru-based team eventually reached a par total thanks to Tim David’s final touch.

CSK’s fate was sealed when Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood struck twice in the chase’s second over. Since Yash Dayal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Liam Livingstone provided Hazlewood with the perfect support, no batter other than Rachin Ravindra was able to contribute significantly. Even though MS Dhoni smashed a few boundaries in the final over, the game was already over.

Player battles to watch out for in RCB vs CSK Match 52, IPL 2025

1. Phil Salt vs Khaleel Ahmed

Untitled 11 2025 03 0dfca2ddcecf62cc5c4c4e4d6416b53c

Phil Salt has been blowing hot and cold this season, while Khaleel has been CSK’s most consistent bowler. So far in the IPL, Salt has made 50 runs in 31 balls at a strike rate of 161.29 without ever being dismissed by Khaleel. Speaking of the pacer’s form this season, he has taken 14 wickets in 10 games so far, and is a serious contender to dismiss Salt on Saturday.

2. MS Dhoni vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar

DHONI VS RCB sportzpics Bhuvneshwar has been a consistent weapon for RCB at the death this season with the ball, but Dhoni has managed to come out on top every time these two have faced each other in the IPL. In 57 balls, Dhoni has scored 94 runs against the Meerut-born without ever being dismissed at a strike rate of 164.91. The veteran pacer’s death bowling prowess, however, makes his clash with Dhoni a one to watch out for at the Chinnaswamy field.
