The Delhi Capitals (DC), who defeated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at home by six wickets, have now won four straight games and are still undefeated in the competition. The team captained by Axar Patel is continuing to play brilliantly and sustain its winning streak.
After the Capitals won the toss and decided to field first, the RCB innings got off to a poor start. Against the RCB hitters, who were unable to play large knocks like they did previously, the DC bowlers were dominant. Phil Salt (37 off 17) and Tim David (37 off 20)* made brief appearances, which were the only noteworthy homeside performances. The two finest bowlers for DC were Vipraj Nigam (2/18 in four overs) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/17 in four overs), who made excellent use of the track’s slowness.
With outstanding spells from Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/26 in four overs) and Suyash Sharma (1/25 in four overs), the Capitals too had a rough start despite the RCB hitters, losing wickets at frequent intervals. But a fantastic hundred-plus partnership between KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs ruined the celebration at the Chinnaswamy, ending the match in DC’s favour.
111 off 55 deliveries was the fifth wicket partnership between the two middle order batsmen. With his amazing game-winning knock of 93 off 53 deliveries, Rahul was named the player of the match. Stubbs was also instrumental with his 38 off 23 balls.
Key Moments from RCB vs DC, Match 24 of IPL 2025
1. Virat Kohli and Phil Salt mishap causes problems
The powerplay went well for RCB, especially after Salt started to attack the DC bowlers from the word go. However, Salt’s innings ended after a mix-up between the two openers. This was also the moment the RCB innings started to falter as none of the batters got off to a great start after the Englishman.

2. Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam spin a web
The stars in DC’s first innings were the wrist spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam, who took some big wickets in the middle to put the RCB innings under pressure. While Vipraj dismissed RCB legend Virat Kohli and dangerous all-rounder Krunal Pandya, Kuldeep got the RCB last-match heroes Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma.

3. Tim David’s explosive hits get RCB to a competitive score
Despite the RCB batters’ poor performances, Tim David saved the RCB innings in the end again. The explosive batter’s cameo made a lot of difference in the score, and this was another example of how dangerous he can be as a finisher with his powerful shots and ability to hit big sixes during the crucial stages of the game.
4. Jitesh Sharma’s sharp catches change the game for RCB
The Capitals were in trouble at one stage and had lost three wickets in the powerplay. Two of the three wickets might have been the brilliance of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, but credit has to go to Jitesh, who kept his composure in taking the skiers to dismiss Jake Fraser McGurk and Abhishek Porel. This was one of the moments that got the home team back in the game.

5. KL Rahul finishes it in style
This was the day where KL Rahul finally proved that he can win games for his team. While the top order batters of the capitals were struggling to get going, Rahul took responsibility and made sure DC remained unbeaten in the tournament. Rahul played some elegant strokes and big hits in his incredible innings and finally finished the game with a big six of Yash Dayal.
