Every time he gets the ball, Mayank Yadav has been spitting fire. At the age of just two List A games, the Lucknow Super Giants selected the pacer to join their bowling lineup in the Indian Premier League 2022. He was forced to sit out the season, though, and was unable to play the next year due to a hamstring injury. However, it appears that he has made up for lost time by using his captivating spells to talk during the 2024 IPL.
When he made his LSG debut against the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024, the 21-year-old made it apparent what he wanted to achieve. On his excursion, the right arm pacer recorded 155.8 kph. On March 2, he came out swinging against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, leaving the hitters no time to blink when he was armoured with the ball. On the opening ball of the eighth over, the youthful player hit a speed gun speed of 156.7 kph against Cameron Green.

Mayank Yadav shakes up the middle order of the RCB at Chinnaswamy
At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday, Mayank truly began RCB’s decline. Glenn Maxwell was bowled a delivery at 151 kph that was short of the length. The batter, accustomed to the quick Australian pitches, misjudged the fast ball and attempted a late pull, but Nicholas Pooran caught him at mid-on.
When Cameron Green was at the crease, he kept up his excellent pace while bowling. Mayank, who appeared powerless to Green, shook the timber with a good-length ball that tucked back in. There was pace on it. Rajat Patidar became his final victim of the evening when he succumbed to the speed and played a draw shot without any control over the stroke. Devdutt Padikkal was at deep-backward square leg when the ball top-edged and sailed straight to him. Not only has he not bowled over 50 balls, but he now has the most deliveries at 150+.
