Richa Ghosh, the wicketkeeper-battler for RCB, praised Australia’s top all-rounder, Ellyse Perry, after their remarkable victory for her coolness during the run chase. RCB was under pressure when captain Smriti Mandhana was removed at a critical time. To keep RCB in the chase, Richa, though, played aggressively and scored 17 runs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have finally lifted the title for the first time in their 16-year history. In order to win the coveted trophy, they defeated the Delhi Capitals by eight wickets in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) finals. Delhi, batting first, was particularly poor, managing only 113 runs at the end of the innings. But their bowlers were quite impressive during the chase because the game’s last over decided the outcome of the contest.
Conversely, Ellyse Perry contributed significantly to RCB’s victory once more. She performed the same in the eliminator match against the Mumbai Indians, and in the championship game, she scored 35 runs, a huge amount considering RCB’s victory. Richa, meanwhile, expressed that she thought there was a long wait between the eliminator and the final. She also said that they were unable to unwind in the slightest, despite the reduced aim.

“Although I was a little anxious, Perry helped me to relax and instructed me to strike the ball if it was there. The interval between the eliminator and the final seemed endless, but we had put a lot of effort and preparation into it. God willing, we prevailed. All we wanted to do was bowl wicket-to-wicket, knowing that we could reduce the score after taking a few wickets.
After the game, Cricbuzz cited Richa Ghosh as stating, “The game does get close when the target is low; you can’t relax one bit.”
Following the game, top Indian batsman Virat Kohli contacted captain Mandhana to congratulate her and the squad. Both of these cricket players are anticipated to attend the “RCB Unbox” function on March 19 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where their first WPL victory will also be commemorated.
