Gambhir claimed that Yuvraj Singh, a previous stellar all-rounder, was not given enough credit for assisting the Men in Blue in reaching the World Cup final because the media was more preoccupied with MS Dhoni’s title-winning six.
It goes without saying that Gautam Gambhir and Dhoni made crucial contributions with the bat during the championship game against Sri Lanka in April 2011 to win the trophy after 28 years.
Gambhir, though, remarked on India’s campaign and claimed that, among other players, Yuvraj, Zaheer Khan, Suresh Raina, and Munaf Patel were crucial to the team’s success in claiming the title.
