Playing in the high-stakes Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024–25), Rishabh Pant is presently in Australia. The famous batsman-wicketkeeper took a break from his hectic schedule to tour Adelaide, a charming city where India lost to Australia by 10 wickets in the second Test match last week.
The 27-year-old Pant was spotted hanging out with a young child in a sweet moment outside an Adelaide shopping centre. A video posted on ‘X’ (previously Twitter) showed the southpaw interacting with the toddler, who was seated on his lap.
Notably, in January 2019, Rishabh Pant made history in Australia by being the first Indian wicketkeeper to make a century in Test cricket. His contributions to India’s last two series victories in Australia were significant. The Haridwar-born player’s jokes with Tim Paine, the Australian Test Captain at the time, during the 2018–19 season also helped him become incredibly popular.
For cricket fans, however, the 2020–21 series will always be remembered mainly because of Pant’s incredible 97 in the fourth innings in Sydney and his undefeated 89* in Brisbane, which led to an unforgettable triumph.

Rishabh Pant has not yet set the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 on fire.
Because of his prior success in Australia, Indian supporters were expecting Pant to start the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 with a bang. But the left-handed batter has started the five-game series in a quiet manner. Pant has scored 87 runs from four innings at an average of 21.75 in the first two Test matches.
With the action moving to the famous Gabba in Brisbane for the third Test, the series is now interestingly deadlocked at 1-1. The cricket player for the Lucknow Super Giants will try to replicate the valiant actions he displayed during his most recent Test match in the River City in 2021.
