In preparation for the Champions Trophy 2025, the Men in Blue are working hard. Notably, Team India will use the hybrid style to play all of its games in Dubai. Thus, the team immediately got started on a full-intensity session after arriving in the energetic metropolis.
Everyone expected the squad to have a day off or a light training session before beginning the first practice, so this threw them all off guard. Actually, according to sources, the Indian squad played during the day in the sweltering heat at the ICC (International Cricket Council) Academy in Dubai rather than in the evening. The Rohit Sharma-led team will notably aim to win the Champions Trophy for the third time. Many issues have been raised about the roster, though, particularly the choice of two wicketkeeping alternatives in Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul during practice and as they figure out their team combination and playing XI.
Amidst the selection dilemma, the Men in Blue experienced a near-injury during their first practice when Pant was struck in the knee and appeared to be in discomfort. In the event, Rishabh Pant’s left knee was struck by a shot played by Hardik Pandya, the great all-rounder. The outstanding wicketkeeper-batter was clearly in agonising discomfort shortly after taking the hit. Despite the fans’ concerns raised by this viral video, Pant immediately padded up and batted like a tiger.
“Pandya delivered a strong blow during the net session that struck Pant in the knee, causing a small but strange incident. Kamlesh Jain, the physiotherapist, attended to the 27-year-old stumper despite his discomfort, and a worried Pandya emerged from the nets to see how his younger teammate was doing. However, an NDTV report claimed that it wasn’t a major problem because Pant padded up shortly after the first team batters’ practices were over.
