At the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will square off. For LSG to win the IPL 2025 for the sixth time, they had to chase 237 runs in 20 overs.
Azmatullah Omarzai bowled the eighth over to captain Rishabh Pant and LSG batsman Ayush Badoni.
The bat went out of his hands and into the square-leg area as the left-hander on the strike came down the pitch to loft the ball. Shashank Singh made an easy catch after the ball was cut straight to him at the sweeper cover.
The wicketkeeper batsman murmured something as he stared up at the sky in shock. The Lucknow hitters were totally overrun by the PBKS bowlers.

Prabhsimran Singh, the opener for PBKS, scored 91 runs off of 48 deliveries in the first innings, including six fours and seven maximums. Shreyas Iyer, the captain of PBKS, scored 45 runs off of 25 balls. Shashank Singh (33 off 15), Marcus Stoinis (15 off 5), Nehal Wadhera (16 off 9), and Josh Inglis (30 off 14) all contributed to the overwhelming 236.
The most economical bowler for LSG is Akash Maharaj Singh, who took two wickets while only allowing 30 runs to be scored. During their four-over period, every other bowler scored more than 40 runs. Mayank Yadav had one of the most costly IPL bowling spells (4-0-60-0).
With six victories, PBKS is now ranked fourth in the standings and will look to triumph in front of their home crowd in Dharamsala. The team lead by Shreyas Iyer will go closer to the playoffs with this victory.
