During Match 23 of the current Indian Premier League between the Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Riyan Parag was clearly not happy after being pronounced caught behind off of Kulwant Khejroliya’s bowling. Though it wasn’t supposed to be his last day, Parag immediately signalled for the review after being ruled out.
The goal of a 134.8 kph delivery slanted across the batter was to compress it in the direction of deep backward point. With the umpire’s finger pointing upwards, Parag was able to send Jos Buttler a subtle tickle. According to the replays, the spike appeared just after the ball had passed the bat, and Parag was presumably attempting to portray the same sequence of events.

The third batter to leave for RR was Riyan Parag.
The first two to be fired were Nitish Rana and Yashasvi Jaiswal. In the second and third overs of the run-chase, respectively, the two left-handed batters were dismissed. The visotors are presently aiming for the 218-run goal that GT has set. Things do not appear promising for RR at the moment, as they are already five down by the thirteenth over.
Sai Sudharsan’s brilliant 82-run knock earlier in the evening got GT to a score of 217/6. Shahrukh Khan (36 off 20) and Jos Buttler (36 off 25) both made very significant contributions to the total. Rahul Tewatia maintained the momentum in the direction of GT with a late, undefeated surge of 24 off 12 deliveries. With statistics of 1/30, Jofra Archer was RR’s most economical bowler, delivering 10 dot deliveries in his four-over performance.
