Riyan Parag has been cleared to return to action in the seventh round of the 2024–25 Ranji Trophy, which is a significant boost for Assam, according to. On January 30, India’s top domestic red-ball championship will begin its final round of the group stage.
In October 2024, the 23-year-old played his final competitive match against Bangladesh in the third and final Twenty20 International of the series. He hit a quick 34 off just 13 deliveries during that Hyderabad match. Both the current five-match T20I series against England and the T20I series in South Africa were ruled out due to a shoulder issue that necessitated surgery. Up until now, the young player has represented India in ten white-ball matches (nine T20Is and one ODI).
For the same reason, Riyan Parag, who was part of the Indian team during the most recent ODI series against Sri Lanka in 2024, was left out of the 15-man Champions Trophy roster.
