On Sunday, March 30, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their first IPL 2025 match. As the acting captain, Riyan Parag was thrilled with the victory at his home field, Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. After the game, the athlete got caught in a soup after being seen taking photos with the ground crew.
He flung the phone towards the ground crew after taking the selfie, and they managed to catch it after some fumbling.
Fans, however, seemed to dislike this aspect of Riyan Parag and believed that he could have transferred the phone more effectively.

The game yesterday, on the other hand, was an intense last-over match that had the spectators on the edge of their seats, particularly in the final few overs. With Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni at the crease, CSK needed to win by 39 runs in the final two overs. With two sixes and one boundary, Tushar Deshpande was hit for 19 runs in the 19th over. In the last over, Sandeep Kumar entered the bowling position with 20 runs to win.
Even though Jofra Archer had a strong day with the ball, many people thought he would bowl the final over. Sandeep Sharma was given the ball by Riyan Parag, who proceeded with his plan. Dhoni was on strike as the bowler launched a wide on the first ball. The next ball, which was hit with great force by the famed hitter, ended up in Hetmyer’s hands at deep mid-wicket, much to everyone’s amazement.
When Dhoni was fired, CSK’s chances of winning the match diminished. In the last two games, Archer didn’t feel like he was having a bad time, and he was excellent with the ball. In the powerplay, however, he outperformed the top tier, leaving the club stunned. But it was Nitish Rana’s 81 runs that enabled RR to score a respectable total. ‘Player of the Match’ was the accolade given to him for his incredible performance.
