At the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the 36th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is presently in progress. This location usually hosts a high-scoring thriller, but because the game was played on a flat field, the total was low. Hardik Pandya, the captain of MI, chose to field first after winning the toss. Despite struggling throughout their innings, SRH managed to score 162 runs in their allowed 20 overs at a cost of five wickets.
In addition to its spectacular boundaries and tall sixes, the Indian Premier League is also recognised for its glitz, with cheerleaders energising the crowd with each huge shot. But there weren’t many boundaries in this low-scoring match, and they primarily appeared in the latter overs.
The SRH cheerleaders were spotted interacting with the IPL’s new season-long invention, a robot dog, which is the league’s official pet, during the game’s quiet moments. The cheerleaders grinned and relished the little off-field entertainment as they had some fun moments with the robot on the dance floor. The IPL has combined cricket with entertainment, glitz, and creativity over the years.

MI bowling discipline limits SRH
MI’s disciplined bowling made it difficult for SRH’s hitters to accelerate on the pitch. Heinrich Klaasen provided late impetus with a vital 37 off 28 deliveries, while Abhishek Sharma top-scored with a valiant 40 off 28 balls. Will Jacks had an outstanding spell for MI, taking two wickets in three overs while giving up just 14 runs.
MI and SRH are now in seventh and ninth place in the points table, respectively, and both teams need to win to remain in the game.
