On Sunday, March 9, during the Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Rohit Sharma smashed a massive shot over long-on on the third ball of the sixth over of the innings, welcoming Nathan Smith to the crease.
Nathan Smith, who replaced Matt Henry, blasted his third delivery of his opening spell over cow corner for a maximum of 93 metres.
In what appeared to be a calculated attempt, the Indian captain danced down the track. The ball travelled well into the stands due to a strong connection.

The veteran Henry was sadly unable to participate in the crucial summit match. An awkward tumble on the right shoulder while clinging to a catch in the deep during the Proteas vs. New Zealand semi-final. Henry took 10 wickets in four innings, making him the tournament’s top wicket-taker before to the final.
Kohli is caught in front by Bracewell, and the momentum turns in New Zealand’s direction.
Following the quick departures of Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, India’s explosive batting start was undone. After scoring 31, Gill had to go back due to a brilliant grab from Glenn Phillips at cover. A little time later, Michael Bracewell joined the assault.
With his first ball, he hit and trapped Kohli plumb in front. Kohli was apprehensive about the review. But the Hawk-Eye displayed three reds. At the crease, Rohit stays. After a brief stint at the crease by Kohli, Shreyas Iyer joined the captain. India is aiming for a victory of 252.
