On Sunday, April 20, during the recently finished match between the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma slammed a pull shot into the second deck of the Wankhede Stadium. On the fourth ball of the second over of the second innings, the enormous maximum was struck.
Jamie Overton’s brief delivery was brutally cut short by Rohit Sharma in the traditional manner.
After expertly shifting his weight, the seasoned fighter removed the ball from his hips and threw it into the upper tier of the arena.

Alongside his opening partner, Ryan Rickelton, Rohit scored 63 runs before the latter was removed by Ravindra Jadeja, one of the two half-centurions from the first innings. Rickelton made his way back with 24 deliveries out of 19. The target MI is aiming for is 177 runs.
MI won the toss earlier in the evening and chose to field first. Jadeja scored 53 from 35 deliveries to lead the CSK in scoring. Shivam Dube too made a contribution with a 50-run hit off 32 balls. Six of the eight sixes that CSK hit over their whole innings were hit by both of them. At the top of the order, Shaik Rasheed (19 off 20) and Rachin Ravindra (five off nine) did not make significant contributions.
As for MI, Jasprit Bumrah starred with 2/25 in four overs. Mitchell Santner impressed with the ball too. He conceded only 14 runs in the three overs he bowled. Ashwani Kumar was the most expensive bowler for the hosts. The 23-year-old conceded 42 runs in his couple of overs.
