Some of the best quotes have come from the stump mic. The players’ on-field banter is visible to the spectators and commentators here. We can see what goes into the game and how the players interact with one another from this as well.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is currently a place where players engage in amusing banter. On the pitch, they frequently exchange comments with one another, and some of these exchanges have been captured on the stump microphone.
On Day 4 of the Boxing Day Test, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja had a very amusing exchange.
Rishabh Pant then encouraged the spin-bowling all-rounder from behind the stumps after the India captain told him not to smile.
“Hey Jadeja, don’t smile at him too much,” Rohit remarked to her. “Aye Jaddu usko daant mat dikha jyada yaar.”

Indian bowlers find Australia’s lower order frustrating.
The Indians would have been pleased with their rapid dismissal of the Australian top order and their subsequent struggles at 91-6. They ultimately ended the day with a total of 228-9, though, after the Indian bowlers were frustrated by the partnership between Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland for the tenth wicket. Lyon scored 41 runs from 54 deliveries, while Boland scored 10 from 65 deliveries at the crease.
At Stumps, Australia’s lead now stands at 333 runs, and they intend to increase it further. The Indian squad, on the other hand, will aim to take the final wicket as quickly as possible and will need to have a fantastic batting day in order to guarantee that they can at least tie the game. By the way, the highest total England has ever chased down at the MCG is 332 runs.
