In the first innings of the third Test match at The Gabba in Brisbane, the Australian team outperformed the Indian squad. The hosts dominated Day 2 after Day 1 was ruined by weather, scoring over 400 runs thanks to hundreds from Travis Head and Steven Smith. India was eager to end the innings on Day 3, but Alex Carey’s tenacious strategy made things more difficult.
Carey insisted on not giving anything to the Indian pace attack since the squad desperately needed to end the tailender’s stay, the final batter to be recognised. When the ball was thrown to Akash Deep in an outside-off bid bowl, he sent it wide off the ground, and Rishabh Pant caught it.
Apparently, Rohit Sharma, who was upset, snapped at him, asking, “Sar mein Kuch hai” (do you have brains).
Here’s the video of the incident:

India has yet another batting breakdown.
India was able to bowl out the Australians for 445 runs on Day 3. But when the speed attack from Australia shattered their preparations, the team’s poor batting performance persisted. Before a period of rain cut short the match, they had already lost three wickets. Back in the hut, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored three, one, and four runs, respectively. hesitatingly leaving India at 22/3.
Things became worse for the visitors when the game restarted, as Pant left the field with nine runs before the action was cut short by more rain. India had a steep 397-run deficit at 44/4. Australia’s Mitchell Starc took two wickets, while Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood each took one. Before The Gabba Test, the series is poised at 1-1, which is worth mentioning.
