Sarfaraz Khan put on the famous Test cap for India during the current third Test against England at Rajkot, in a touching demonstration of family love and aspirations come true for a cricketer. The youthful batsman, who has spent years toiling in domestic cricket, was presented with his first Test cap by the great Anil Kumble before starting on Day 1.
Sarfaraz and his father, Mr. Naushad Khan, who has been a rock-solid supporter of his son’s cricket career, had an emotional moment during the induction ceremony. Filled with pride and emotion, Mr. Khan hugged his kid tightly and shed a few tears; the boy returned the hug with the same warmth and appreciation.
The emotional moment also included Sarfaraz’s wife, whose emotions revealed the depth of her husband’s test debut. In the middle of the emotional outburst, Sarfaraz’s father received a heartfelt hug from India captain Rohit Sharma before he headed to the dressing room.

Jay Shah has confirmed that Rohit Sharma will captain India in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
At a media briefing in Rajkot, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said that Rohit would captain India in the forthcoming 2024 men’s T20 World Cup. Shah further stated that Rahul Dravid will remain in charge of the team in the run-up to the international competition. The 36-year-old will be in charge of India’s T20 World Cup team for the second time; the first time he had the position was in 2022, when India lost to eventual winners England in the semi-finals.
The India opener missed the entirety of 2023’s T20I action after the T20 World Cup in 2022. But his comeback to captain the team against Afghanistan in January 2024 showed that there was a clear route to leading India in the forthcoming World Cup, which is slated to take place in the USA and the West Indies in June. Shah’s affirmation of Rohit as captain may have also given the team members confidence in their readiness and aspirations for the prestigious competition.
