At the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai during the MI vs. SRH IPL 2025 match, Rohit Sharma executed his signature pull shot off Mohammed Shami’s bowling. The top batter’s aggressive batting thrilled the audience as he smashed the ball into the stands. When MI started their run chase against SRH, Sharma’s early acceleration gave them a strong start.
In an attempt to get a little more bounce, Shami bowled a delivery that was a little shorter. But since the ball was a half-tracker, he was unable to get any. The right-handed batter’s hand-eye coordination and reflexes were good enough to detect the ball’s length and hit it cleanly onto the second tier.

For the other teams who will play MI in the coming weeks as well as the SRH bowlers, it was a commanding stroke and a statement. Cheers erupted from the crowd as the ball went far. MI was able to effectively utilise the powerplay overs, as Sharma’s strong start enabled them to eventually chase a total of 163 with relative ease.
Rohit Sharma records his greatest IPL 2025 score.
Compared to his expectations, the right-handed batter’s season has not been as successful. The Indian captain had a poor outing and bowled a 4-ball duck in the opening match against CSK. Sharma scored only eight runs in four balls against the Gujarat Titans.
Against KKR, he scored 13 off of 12 balls, and against RCB, he replied with 17 off of 9. In the last game versus DC, the star batter scored 18 runs in 12 balls, the greatest total in the current season.
Sharma achieved his highest score of the season after batting brilliantly against SRH. With three sixes and a strike rate of 162.5, the MI opener amassed 26 runs in 16 balls during his time in the middle. While pursuing a total of 163, his knock helped MI get off to a strong start.
