In the Champions Trophy 2025 final, Rohit Sharma’s incredible innings helped India reclaim the cherished crown after a 12-year absence. The Men in Blue won back-to-back ICC events on Sunday, March 9, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, defeating New Zealand by four wickets. They defeated South Africa in the 2024 T20 World Cup finals last year.
India easily won with one over remaining after holding New Zealand to 251/7 in their 50 overs. After hitting three sixes and seven fours in his 76 off 83 balls, Sharma was named Player of the Match. The Indian players joined their families on the pitch to celebrate their victory after the victory.
Reminiscent of his famous celebration during the T20 World Cup victory in Barbados, Rohit Sharma was spotted putting a stump on the ground. The native of Nagpur has placed an Indian flag in the middle of the Caribbean.

In a summit battle, Rohit Sharma batted first.
Although Rohit led India admirably throughout the Champions Trophy, he was unable to score a significant amount of runs before the final. He scored 41, 20, 15, and 28 points in the first four games. He did, however, step up in the crucial final, scoring a half-century in 41 balls.
The Asian powerhouses were always able to meet the necessary run-rate because to Rohit’s explosive knock at the top of the order, even though India lost a few wickets in the middle overs. Shreyas Iyer, in addition to Rohit, contributed a crucial knock of 48 to help the side get through the middle overs. Shubman Gill (31), along with KL Rahul (34*), played wonderfully to lead India to a historic triumph.
India will play England in a five-match Test series beginning in June. Now that the much-awaited tournament has begun, the players will join their respective Indian Premier League (IPL) teams on March 22.
