The video of Ruturaj Gaikwad’s cheeky farewell to Azim Kazi during their 2024 MPL match has gone viral.

Normally, a bowler who is removed would be extremely disappointed, especially if the ball is bowled through the legs, which is a highly humiliating kind of deception in cricket that is comparable to a nutmeg in football. But in the 29th game of the current Maharashtra Premier League, such feelings were not evident. At Pune’s MCA International Stadium, the Puneri Bappa and the inaugural edition’s winners, the Ratnagiri Jets, squared off.

Famous cricket player Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is friendly with Kazi, chose a unique way to celebrate instead, playfully taunting the outcast batter. Regarding the game, Kazi and company were victorious after a fiercely contested contest, defeating Puneri Bappa by a margin of six runs. Gaikwad scored 18 runs off 23 balls while he was at the crease, but he was unable to lead the Bappa team to victory.
