On Wednesday, March 6, the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane, Mumbai, hosted the star-studded opening ceremony of the inaugural Indian Street Premier League. Numerous cinema stars, including Suriya, Ramcharan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshay Kumar, brightened up the occasion.
Sachin Tendulkar, the renowned Indian cricket player, also attended the function and was seen performing the well-known “Naatu-Naatu” step during the proceedings. Along with Tendulkar were Boman Irani, Akshay Kumar, Ramcharan, and Suriya as they attempted the well-known step from the film RRR, which also took home the coveted Oscar for Best Original Song.

The first match of the competition is between Master’s XI, under the direction of Sachin Tendulkar, and Khiladi XI, under the direction of Akshay Kumar. Celebrities and well-known cricket players, including Robin Uthappa, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan, and Irfan Pathan, were present on both teams.
Amir Hussain, a paralympian cricketer, and Sachin Tendulkar opened.
Tendulkar, who met para-cricketer Amir Hussain during a recent tour to Jammu & Kashmir, opened the innings with a meaningful gesture. To further fuel his cricket dreams, the renowned hitter even gave him a bat that he had signed.
As the Masters XI faced Akshay Kumar’s opening over, Tendulkar and Amir opened the innings. In only the opening over, Tendulkar even gave Kumar a massive six that sent the crowd into a frenzy. Alongside his idol, Hussain skillfully rotated the strike to add runs that were essential for his team.
