Gujarat Titans player Sai Kishore recently talked about how captain Shubman Gill and head coach Ashish Nehra have influenced his own personal growth and how both individuals affect the team’s general culture and morale.
Gill has been at the top of his game throughout games, and Kishore was full of appreciation for both sharing and contributing to Gill’s situational awareness.
“Shubman has consistently read the game quite well. He is well-aware of the circumstances of the match when he bats. In addition to being a gifted player, he is also a very intelligent cricketer. He has been a huge assistance to me as a spinner. You occasionally require the captain’s or an experienced cricket player’s input. Supporting my gut feelings with Shubman’s game-reading is definitely helpful,” Kishore told JioHotstar.
Though he will intervene if you veer off course, he is always there to show you how much he values you: Sai Kishore.
Kishore also praised Nehra’s level-headedness and how his manner made sure the team’s defences were maintained.
The presence of Ashish Nehra prevents anyone from being complacent. Even after the most recent match against the Mumbai Indians, he stated that we needed to work on some areas because we didn’t play well. He will constantly alert you when something is amiss, so there is no such thing as complacency. He keeps things direct, easy to understand, and concise. He will step in if you’re veering off course, but he’s always there to show you how much he values you. Everyone will remain committed to the team’s goal in this way,” Kishore continued.
One of GT’s most notable players this season has been Kishore. So far, the left-arm spinner has taken 14 wickets in 11 games. In their recent match against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, GT came out on top. Their next match is against the Delhi Capitals at Delhi on Sunday, May 11.
