Star all-rounder Sam Curran has been named to England’s T20I team for the forthcoming series against South Africa and Ireland. The English cricketer has been selected for both tasks after dazzling everyone with his all-round ability in the just ended Hundred Men’s 2025, when he played for the Oval Invincibles and contributed significantly to their victory.
Curran grabbed 12 wickets in nine matches during the Hundred 2025 and bowled at an 8.55 economy rate. He also made an outstanding contribution with the bat, scoring 238 runs in eight innings while maintaining a strike rate of 176.29, which is just incredible. Curran last played for England in the West Indies in 2024 and has now returned after a 10-month absence.
The English squad will be headed by Harry Brook against the Proteas, while Jacob Bethell will captain for the first time on the Irish tour. Rehan Ahmed has also been chosen in the squads, having appeared in good form at the recently finished 100-ball tournament.
