MI London, formerly known as Oval Invincibles, have confirmed their pre-auction signings and named Sam Curran as their captain ahead of The Hundred 2026. Additionally, the franchise has chosen to keep Will Jacks on board. As a reward for his steady all-around play in leagues across the globe,
Before the player auction, MI London has kept Danni Wyatt-Hodge as one of their star players in The Hundred Women’s competition. All teams were permitted to sign up to four players prior to the auctions, which are anticipated to occur in March 2026, following many team takeovers prior to the 2026 season.
After Sam Billings guided the team to three straight titles from 2023 to 2025, Sam Curran becomes the next captain.
Jacks, who has been with the squad from the first season in 2021, continues to be the franchise’s all-time top run scorer. In order to bolster their roster before the auctions, MI London has also signed Wyatt-Hodge, a former player for the Southern Brave Women’s team, for the forthcoming season.
“We have acquired two of the top English white-ball cricket players in Sam and Will. With her efforts for Surrey and England, Danni has previously seen success at the Kia Oval and is a fan favourite in south London. “She is one of the most exciting players in the game and has been prolific in The Hundred,” MI London chairman Oli Slipper stated.
With a number of changes coming with the 2026 season, such as team acquisitions and player auctions, MI London will have a chance to solidify their supremacy in The Hundred. The team has already won three Men’s titles and two Women’s titles, making them the most successful team in the tournament’s history.
The men’s team, formerly known as the Oval Invincibles, participated in 42 games and won 28 of them, although there is very little likelihood that former captain Billings will be re-signed through the auction. Jacks is ranked third in the men’s competition, while Wyatt-Hodge is the second-highest run scorer in the women’s division. Curran has been an exceptional all-round player, taking 45 wickets in 36 innings and amassing 757 runs at a strike rate of 150.49 in 32 innings.
