On Monday, March 24, the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faced off in the fourth game of the current Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Though DC’s Sameer Rizvi dropped Nicholas Pooran, giving the West Indian batsman a lifeline early in the game, a lost opportunity in the first innings might have a big effect on the outcome.
The West Indian took advantage of the error right away by hitting a six off the very next ball, adding salt to the wounds.

At a run rate of 12.71, LSG had sped to 89/1 at the conclusion of seven overs. The only batsman to be removed was Aiden Markram, who scored 15 runs off of 13 balls before being taken out by Nigam.
