Leading pacer Jasprit Bumrah is wed to TV host Sanjana Ganesan, and the two have a kid named Angad, who is one and a half years old. Bumrah, who had his family cheering him on from the stands during the Mumbai Indians vs. Lucknow Super Giants match at the Wankhede Stadium, had his lucky charms on his side as he took four wickets, helping MI win the entire match in Match 45 of the 2025 Indian Premier League.
When he finished taking four wickets, the camera cut to Sanjana and Angad, who were maintaining a straight face while his father bowled an incredible spell. Internet users screenshotted Angad’s face and wrote pointless remarks about it, creating posts and memes that her mother didn’t find amusing at all. She noted this as well and publicly urged internet users to refrain from exploiting her son, who is still a youngster, for promotional purposes.
“You have no business discussing our son. On Monday, April 28, Sanjana posted on her Instagram story, “Please understand that Angad and I were there to support Jasprit and nothing else. The Internet is a disgusting, vile place to be, and I completely understand the implications of bringing a child to a cricket stadium full of cameras. That’s why Jasprit and I do everything in our power to keep Angad away from social media.”
“We have no interest in our son being viral Internet content or national news, with unnecessarily opinionated keyboard warriors deciding who Angad is, what his problem is, what his personality is, from 3 seconds of footage,” she added.
Sanjana Ganesan demands that terms like “trauma” and “depression” not be used.
Bumrah’s wife went on to say that as Angad is too young to comprehend such feelings, he doesn’t deserve to be called depressed or anything similar. She asked internet users to be truthful while sharing any kind of content online, saying that it is concerning that society is posting such things about their son.
He is a year and a half old. Using terms like “trauma” and “depression” in relation to a baby reveals a lot about our community and is very heartbreaking. You don’t know anything about our son or our lives, so please don’t post anything that contradicts that. In today’s society, a little kindness and honesty go a long way,” she said.
