The Rajasthan Royals captain and star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson recently acknowledged the difficulties of planning against one of the game’s best finishers, MS Dhoni. When it comes to the former captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Samson said, the RR thought tank just stops trying to make preparations.
Samson immediately mentioned the former wicketkeeper-batter when asked which hitter he finds the hardest to plan for. While they prepare for the complete batting order of the opposition, the Kerala native clarified that it is Dhoni’s name that causes them to give up and go on to the next player.
“You can’t even consider Mahi, bhai. We prepare for every batsman, but when Mahi bhai arrives, we say, “Okay, let’s look at the next one.” “It is impossible to prepare for him,” Samson told reporter Vimal Kumar.
When speaking with me, Suryakumar Yadav is quite open: Sanju Samson
Samson is receiving a lot of accolades from various sources for his recent efforts. In a recent Twenty20 International series against Bangladesh, the 29-year-old recorded his first century for his country. With his 111-run knock, India won the series 3-0. Samson disclosed that his strategy was significantly influenced by a discussion he had with colleague Suryakumar Yadav.
“There is very little idea sharing because I’m usually just with the Indian team for a brief period of time. I never had the opportunity to ask Surya, “What are you doing to be the best in this format?” That’s what I was talking to him about during Delhi Nets.

I asked him, “bata zara ki kya chal raha hai” (Tell me what’s going on?). And he was quite open with me about it, sharing his thoughts and his highs and lows. On top of that, I told him my experience,” Samson wrote.
