Saqlain Mushtaq, the legendary off-spinner for Pakistan, has issued a formidable challenge to India, requesting that they play a 10-match series against Pakistan in all forms. Mushtaq made these remarks following Pakistan’s dismal showing in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, where they lost all of their games and were ousted in the group round.
India continues to dominate their bitter rivals in ICC competitions after crushing Pakistan by six wickets in the current Champions Trophy in Dubai. Many fans and commentators questioned whether the Indo-Pak rivalry is still as competitive as it once was as a result of the one-sided match.
Saqlain Mushtaq urged the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to arrange a multi-format series after the Men in Green were eliminated.
He claims that such a series will make it clear whose team is superior.
“Their players are exceptional, and they have been playing fantastic cricket, if we put politics aside. I believe that everything will become evident once your team plays Pakistan in ten Test matches, ten ODIs, and ten T20Is. Mushtaq stated on the 24 News HD channel, “we will be in a position where we can give solid answers to the world and India as well if we get our preparation right and sort things out in the right direction.”

If u are truly a good team, play 10 Test matches, 10 ODIs,10 T20Is against us and it will become clear (who is the best). If we (Pakistan) prepare well and make the right decisions, we will be able to give a solid response to India and the world.” pic.twitter.com/TsNupIklDX

The way Pakistan played in the Champions Trophy at home was shocking. They lost to the Men in Blue by six wickets after losing their first match by 60 runs to New Zealand. They finished last in Group A with just one point from three games after their final group-stage encounter against Bangladesh was rained out.
After being eliminated in the group stages of the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup, this was Pakistan’s third straight early exit from a white-ball competition. With their hitters playing 161 dot balls against New Zealand and 147 against India, the team’s difficulties were evident.
Sunil Gavaskar, a former captain of India, had expressed his thoughts on a bilateral series between India and Pakistan. He disclosed that a series will only be possible when there is border calm.
