Less than two weeks ago, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, the home field of the Rajasthan Royals, received a bomb threat. Neeraj A.
Pawan, the president of the Rajasthan State Sports Council, stated today that the bomb disposal squad and the frisking team have already arrived to look into the matter after receiving another threat via email.
“A bomb threat was sent to us via email. After that, the Police Commissioner received the mail. The frisking team and bomb disposal unit have come to this location. The Hindustan Times cited Neeraj A. Pawan, president of the Rajasthan State Sports Council, as saying, “The investigation is underway.”
In less than an hour, the Holkar Stadium in Indore received another bomb threat, despite Jaipur’s increased security. Jitendra Singh Yadav, the in-charge of the Tukoganj Police station, handled the matter. He stated that the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) had informed them that they had also received a similar email threatening to blow up the site.
“The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) office informed us that they had received an email threatening to blow up the Holkar Stadium,” Yadav stated.
Last month, Eden Gardens received a bomb threat.
On April 7, during a game between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the Eden Gardens was also the target of a bomb threat. The email was discovered in the Cricket Association of Bengal’s (CAB) inbox and was connected to an unidentified sender. Snehasish Ganguly, the president of CAB, acknowledged that the security procedures were promptly put into place even though no device was discovered.
