Ahead of the eagerly awaited match between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Sunday, April 13, the famed Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur is rushing to prepare. This is the first Indian Premier League (IPL) game scheduled to take place at the historic venue in 2025.
Notably, Sawai Man Singh II, the previous Maharaja of Jaipur, is honoured by the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, which was built in 1969.
The Rajasthan Royals, who played their first two home games this season in Guwahati, call it home. In the midst of the crowd enthusiasm leading up to the intense match, new claims have emerged accusing stadium officials of selling tickets in black.
Two days prior to the match between RR and RCB, a journalist documents the stadium’s state in a video posted to Rajasthan One’s Instagram account. She is seen criticising the facilities and questioning a young man who appears to be a member of the stadium administration about why the venue wasn’t completed by the deadline of April 4. The stadium would be fully prepared in time to host the game, the individual claimed.

Claims of ticket sales on the black market surface
The reporter continued by accusing the stadium administration of encouraging everyone, including the students, to purchase black tickets. The young man, however, continued to state that the stadium will be prepared before to the game and declined to remark on the subject.
If individuals have paid, though, what will we receive? Who are you to respond to me? The person who paid purchased the ticket. The cost of the ticket is $20,000. It will cost extra. Additionally, you will see in the media how lengthy the student queue was during the sun. It was not stated that students would receive tickets at a reduced cost. Tickets were available in black. Tickets were available in black. Students bought from you. Everyone bought from you. So, what is the system’s name? “Why not?” the reporter enquired.
Fans were recently cautioned by the Rajasthan Police’s Cyber Crime Branch to exercise caution when purchasing tickets and to avoid purchasing from unapproved vendors. IPL 2025 has not been the finest start for RR, as they have only won two of their first three games. In the meantime, RCB enters the match having won three times and lost twice.
