For the 2024–2025 season, New Zealand Cricket has released an exciting summer itinerary that includes tours by Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England for the men’s squad. Conversely, the women’s team will play at home against Australia and Sri Lanka.
The announcement follows the Kiwis’ ongoing development as a strong cricketing nation, keen to host elite teams and offer their players top-notch competition. Beginning in late November, the men’s calendar begins with a much awaited three-match ICC World Test Championship series against England. Fans’ enthusiasm in this series, which will be played in Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch, has already been considerable, as evidenced by the high demand for tickets.
After the England series, the Black Caps will play three Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals against Sri Lanka in white-ball cricket around the New Year. After that, the schedule changes to a hectic time in March and April when Pakistan visits for three ODIs and five T20Is, giving plenty cricket practice for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
Australia and New Zealand women will play an ODI series at Rose Bowl.
Beginning with the highly anticipated Rose Bowl ODI series against Australia in Wellington shortly before Christmas, the White Ferns’ summer promises to be equally thrilling. They will host a multi-format tour of Sri Lanka in March, and then they will play a three-match Twenty20 International series against the best-ranked Australian side.
Several doubleheaders are scheduled, which is a noteworthy characteristic, especially in the later half of the summer. White Ferns matches will take place before Black Caps white-ball matches at these events. TVNZ 1, TVNZ DUKE, and TVNZ+ will all provide free-to-air broadcasts of all international matches, guaranteeing national accessibility for supporters.
