“Incoming International Player. An impressive all-rounder who led Sri Lanka to victory in the 2022 Asian Cup. Let’s welcome @dasunshanaka1 and @MLCricket to the Seattle Orcas family,” wrote Seattle in their Twitter handle.
Shanaka enjoyed an outstanding 2022 season with the Islanders, guiding them to the Asia Cup victory against Pakistan in the UAE. The star all-rounder has appeared in 183 T20s, scoring 3,724 runs with 15 half-centuries and three centuries. In addition, he has taken 59 wickets over the course of 93 T20 innings.
