The Champions Trophy 2025 teams are beginning to suffer from their travel problems. Following yesterday’s game, the tournament’s semi-finalists were ultimately determined. The semi-final match between Australia and Team India is scheduled for March 4. The semifinal match between South Africa and New Zealand is scheduled on March 5.
The competition was authorized to use a hybrid model since the Indian government and BCCI refused to send the squad to Pakistan. As a result, the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai was chosen to host all of the Men in Blue’s games. As a result, Australia and South Africa traveled to Dubai prior to the final Group A match between India and New Zealand, which was meant to determine the final locations for the other two best Group B teams.
South Africa had to fly to Lahore because India had won the table, while the Australians remained in Lahore to get ready for their match against India.
Interestingly, India is the only side in the tournament to have won all three of their matches.
The Australians have defeated the Blue Brigade in ICC knockout events, despite only playing one complete game throughout the ICC event. Therefore, in the forthcoming Champions Trophy semifinal, Steve Smith and his team will try to maintain their winning streak.
Rohit Sharma concentrated on the game in the semi-final.
Regarding the Indian camp, captain Rohit Sharma appears to have focused entirely on the semi-final encounter against Australia and is prepared for the task. The two-time ICC trophy winner gave his thoughts on the match and the next one, expressing satisfaction with the team’s performance against New Zealand.
“I think it [momentum] is very, very critical when you’re playing such a short tournament, You try and possibly win every game that is in front of you and try and do everything right, and while doing that, there are bound to be mistakes but as long as you correct them quickly, that is what matters. I thought the mistakes that we’ve been making from game one now, we tend to correct those mistakes and that is what is required,” Rohit
“It [semi-final] is going to be a good game and obviously we know Australia has a rich history of playing ICC tournaments well. We do understand that; it’s about what we want to do against the opposition and try and do that right. We’re all looking forward to that contest and hopefully, we can stitch one [more win] towards us,” the hitman concluded.
