Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf leave the competition midway through The Hundred 2023 to focus on their national responsibilities

Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi, two cricketing legends, are saying goodbye to their respective teams as The Hundred event nears its halfway point in order to begin their national service duties. Both athletes used social media to thank one another and show support for one another.

Rauf and Shaheen Afridi each had six matches to show off their skills in between their outstanding exploits in The Hundred.

Five wickets were taken by Haris Rauf’s quick bowling, with his best bowling figures being 3/27 and an economy rate of 7.38. Six wickets and a best bowling average of 2/22 were among Shaheen Afridi’s contributions. His strength on the field was furthered by his 21.00 average and 7.56 economy rate.

It was wonderful to experience this competition, tweeted Haris Rauf, who is noted for his ferocious pace and knack for getting wickets. Thank you, @thehundred, for having me. Though I couldn’t stay for the final, I hope my team, @welshfire, succeeds! I must now proceed to my next responsibility. Rauf’s statements reflected his happy recollections and goals for the accomplishment of his team.

Shaheen Afridi, another well-known cricket player, expressed his gratitude for being a part of The Hundred in a similar manner, saying, “It was a terrific experience with the Welsh Fire squad. Unfortunately, I had to go midway but till next time. I wish you luck!” A sense of obligation and anticipation for what lies ahead reverberated in Afridi’s post.

Both athletes will now put on the national colors as they accept their upcoming tasks. From August 22 to August 26, Pakistan’s cricket squad will play Afghanistan in a three-match One-Day International series. This tournament is a lead-up to the much awaited Asia Cup 2023, a major occasion that Pakistan and Sri Lanka will co-host.

The contributions of players like Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi continue to improve the state of cricket as fans eagerly anticipate upcoming games and the titanic showdown. Their moves from The Hundred to national responsibilities highlight their unwavering dedication to representing their nation and pursuing success on a worldwide platform.
